Mapleton Oil Company, Inc. Online Ordering & Mobile App Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 29, 2026 · Last Updated: September 29, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use the online ordering website at https://mapletonoil.com (the “Website”) or the Mapleton Oil Company, Inc. mobile application for iOS and Android (the “App”) (together, the “Services”), offered by Mapleton Oil Company, Inc. (“Your Dealer”).

The Services are operated by Connected Consumer Fuel, LLC d/b/a Droplet Fuel (“Droplet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), which provides the ordering technology to Your Dealer. Your Dealer is the seller of the fuel and services you order and is responsible for delivery, pricing, and billing.

This policy applies to information collected through the Services and through email, text, and other electronic messages sent through the Services. It does not apply to information Your Dealer collects offline or through its own systems, or to third-party websites or services linked from the Services. Your Dealer’s own handling of your information is governed by Your Dealer’s practices; contact Your Dealer with questions about those practices.

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe we have, contact us at contact@dropletfuel.com.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide.

  • Contact and account information: name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, username, and password.
  • Order and delivery information: products and quantities ordered, delivery instructions, tank location and fill-pipe details, tank size and type, and order and delivery history.
  • Communications: messages you send us or Your Dealer through the Services, and your communication preferences.

Payment information. Payments are made to Your Dealer and processed by Your Dealer’s third-party payment processor. Card information is entered directly with or tokenized by that processor. Droplet does not store your full card number.

Information collected automatically.

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and operating system type, device model, app version, pages and screens viewed, and dates and times of use.
  • Device identifiers and push notification tokens, if you allow notifications in the App.
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data used to keep the App working.
  • Cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies on the Website. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the Website may not work.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide the Services, create and manage your account, and process your orders.
  • Send your orders to Your Dealer so it can price, deliver, and bill them.
  • Send order confirmations, delivery updates, receipts, and account notices.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including fixing errors and preventing fraud.
  • Send marketing messages from Your Dealer, where permitted by law and your choices.
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms.
  • For any other purpose with your consent.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share personal information only as follows:

  • With Your Dealer. Your account, order, delivery, and payment-status information is shared with Your Dealer so it can fulfill and bill your orders and serve you as a customer. Your Dealer keeps its own customer and order records.
  • With service providers that help us operate the Services, such as hosting, payment processing, email and text-message delivery, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting. They are contractually required to protect your information at least as well as this policy does and to use it only to provide services to us.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Droplet, Your Dealer, our users, or others.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

6. Text Messages

If you provide a mobile number and opt in, you may receive text messages about your account and orders, such as order confirmations and delivery updates, and, if you separately agree, marketing messages from Your Dealer. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Mobile numbers and text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with service providers that deliver text messages for us is excluded from this restriction.

7. Your Choices

  • Account information: you can review and update your account information in the App or on the Website.
  • Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Text messages: reply STOP.
  • Push notifications and location: change these at any time in your device settings.
  • Cookies: adjust your browser settings.

8. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App under Settings > Delete Account. When you delete your account, we will delete your login account and the personal information Droplet holds about you within 30 days, except information we must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.

Deleting your account does not delete records held by Your Dealer. Because Your Dealer sold and delivered products to you, it keeps its own customer, order, delivery, and billing records as required by law and for its business purposes. To ask about those records, contact Your Dealer directly.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us at contact@dropletfuel.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

10. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
